CN Prince George Job Fair
From July 9-11/07, CN held a
job fair in Prince George, B.C.,
where more than 300 people
applied for various CN
positions, including CAW
Council 4000 positions of
Servocentre Control Clerks,
Customer Support Reps and
various positions for the new
Prince George Transload and
Intermodal Centre.

CAW VIA Rail Bargaining Committee
In July 2007, the CAW completed successful negotiations with VIA
Rail Canada on new three year collective agreements for
Agreements No.1 and No. 2 (CAW Council 4000) and Agreement
No. 3 (CAW Local 100).

CAW Bill C-257 Anti-Scab
Lobby Team
In October 2006 and March
2007, the CAW joined other
labour organizations and
unions in lobbying federal
Members of Parliament and
Senators on Parliament Hill in
Ottawa to support
Bill C-257, the Anti-Scab Bill, to
restrict the use of replacement
workers during labour strikes
and lockouts.  Council 4000
Regional Rep Barry Kennedy
was a member of the lobby
team that went to Ottawa.
