CAW Local 4001

CAW Council 4000

CAW National Union

I have been with CN since 1982 and with the Agreement 5.1 group since 1984.
I have been involved with the Union for the last 17 years, holding various positions with the
Canadian Brotherhood of Railway, Transport and General Workers Union (CBRT&GW),
to my present position of 8 years as Unit Local Chairperson for Unit 4326 of CAW Local 4001.
In addition, I was also the Vice President of Local 4001 from 2002 to 2004.

I have sat on many committees and worked closely with our Bargaining Representatives not only on Local Union
issues, but regional issues in every department in the Greater Vancouver Terminal, Boston Bar and Kamloops.

I feel that I have the ability to lead Local 4001 into the right direction.
I want to give the Executive of every Unit a chance to get the education they need to represent our membership
to better deal with the changing ways our members' employers do business today at
VIA Rail, Savage Alberta Railway, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations and CN.

In addition, if elected, I will do my best to ensure all our Units have the funding they need to ensure the proper
requirement for Union membership meetings, Executive meetings, education and information on what is
happening with Local 4001 and your work place.

Please remember that every vote counts.  You have a voice as you always should, and the right to make sure
that this Local and every Unit is working for you and held accountable to ensure proper and relevant distribution
of Local funding is being best used in the interest of the membership.

If elected, I will give you my word that I will do my very best to make sure that each and every Local Union Leader
on this Region is given the education and guidance necessary to ensure our members are being properly
represented and serviced by their Local Union, and treated properly by their employer.
