CAW National Council 4000 Regional Representative Election - Local 4001, Mountain Region
|
Nominations have been posted for the position of Regional Representative to service the Mountain Region membership of CAW
Council 4000 and Local 4001 at CN and Savage Alberta Railway. The position became vacant following the acclamation of Barry
Kennedy to the position of President of CAW National Council 4000, effective September 28, 2009.
Ron Shore, President of CAW Local 4001 has been appointed to the subsequent vacancy of Regional Representative and will serve
on an interim basis until the election is completed.
The Regional Representative positions play a significant role in the servicing of the Council 4000 membership from coast to coast.
The timing of the election process will be as follows:

Nominations forms should be completed and sent by mail, registered mail, fax, courier or by hand delivery and must be received no
later than OCTOBER 16th, 2009.
Election ballots will be distributed by mail to member's residences on October 26th and must be returned in the self addressed,
postage paid envelope by November 23, 2009. Election results will be announced on November 28, 2009.
Candidates will be permitted one scrutineer (who may not be a candidate in any election) to be present at the counting of ballots
(no expenses will be paid to candidates or scrutineers).
