|Walk4Justice this Summer
|The Walk4Justice 2008 began in Vancouver B.C. on June 21, 2008 at the Trout Lake National Aboriginal Day celebrations.
It will end at Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario on September 15th where the Prime Minister will be presented with a petition urging awareness and action and
an inquiry into the more than 3,000 women and children missing or murdered in the last 10 years in Canada, more than 80 per cent of who are aboriginal.
The petition urges the federal government to take more action to prevent these crimes, bring the killers to justice and find the many missing.
The Walk4Justice has the support of the Assembly of First Nations and all regional and national chiefs and delegates as well as the Union of BC Indian Chiefs
and the First Nations Summit. CAW members are being urged to join the walk in solidarity and participate for as long as they can when it passes through a
