Buzz Hargrove joins Master Bargaining Committees at CN Bargaining Table
CAW President Buzz Hargrove and the CAW Master Bargaining Committees at CN met Thursday with CN President & CEO Hunter Harrison as contract talks at
the rail company continue in Toronto.

The two sides discussed a number of key issues including wages, job security, outsourcing and a host of other master and local bargaining issues.

“There is still a long way to go, but we’ve made some progress as the bargaining deadline approaches,” said Hargrove.

The bargaining committees, representing more than 4000 CAW members across the railway, continue to work on specific issues.

“Our bargaining committees are working extremely hard to resolve key issues affecting our membership,” said CAW Local 100 President Bryon DeBaets.

“The presence of the key leaders of both organizations will help to push the talks ahead,” said CAW Council 4000 President Bob Fitzgerald.  “However, there
are still many difficult issues to deal with in the short time remaining.

The negotiating deadline is midnight January 17 (EST).
