CAW Post Secondary Bursaries
The CAW National Union and CAW Council offer a total of 13 bursaries each year for $2,500 each, and are awarded to the sons and
daughters of CAW members in good standing who are entering their first year of post-secondary education in Canada such as
university, community college, a technological institute, teachers’ college, nursing school, etc.  One bursary is available for CAW
members with at least one year seniority attending their first year of post secondary education.

The bursaries are as follows:

Submissions should include:

  • an application form, signed by a local union officer;
  • a letter of recommendation from a teacher, principal or community activist;
  • transcript or record of marks.

Documents indicating definite acceptance at one of the institutions described above and proof of registration need to be submitted
before the bursary can be awarded.

A committee appointed by the CAW Council Executive Board and/or CAW National Executive Board will make the selection of
candidates. The decision of the committee is final.
