4th Triennial CAW National Council 4000 Convention - Halifax, Nova Scotia - October 1-3, 2010

CAW National Council 4000 will hold its Fourth Triennial National Convention - fifth if you count the founding convention - at the
Delta Hotel in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia October 1 - 3, 2010.
This will be the first Council 4000 Convention held outside of Ontario or Quebec. Past conventions have been held at the CAW
Family Education Centre at Port Elgin, Ontario (Founding Convention in November 1997), the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal
(2001), the Sheraton Centre in Toronto (2004) and the Delta Montreal (2007).
Close to 100 delegates and observers are expected to attend the 2010 convention. Guest speakers will include CAW National
President Ken Lewenza; CAW National Secretary-Treasurer Peter Kennedy; Assistant to the CAW President Bob Chernecki; CAW
Council 4000 President Barry Kennedy, National Representatives Les Holloway, Abe Rosner, Len Poirier and Sari Sairanen, and
Atlantic Canada Field Representative for the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL) and
former Council 4000/Local 4005 member Sebastien Bezeau.
