Ron Shore elected new Regional Representative for CAW Council 4000 Mountain Region

National Election Committee Chairperson Wally Wilkinson released the results for the new Regional Representative for the Mountain
Region of National Council 4000 responsible for servicing Local 4001 members at CN and Savage Alberta Railway.
Local 4001 President Ron Shore defeated his challenger Joe Kraft, a Local 4001 member who works at CN’s Transload Centre in
North Vancouver, by a margin of 81.5% to become the new Regional Representative, replacing former Regional Representative
Barry Kennedy, who was elected as President of CAW National Council 4000 in August 2009.
Brother Shore will be based in the Greater Vancouver area.
The Council is currently in the process of looking for a new Council 4000 office in the areas of Langley and Surrey where Brother
Shore will work full time from.
With the election of Ron Shore as Regional Rep, John Dowell becomes the permanent President of Local 4001. Later this spring,
elections will be held within all five Regional Locals (4001, 4002, 4003, 4004 and 4005) for various Local Union positions, including
Local Presidents.
